Notice under Article 15 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015 and Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
The following applications have been made to St Helens Council:

Proposal: Reserved matters application seeking approval for Appearance, Landscaping, Scale and Layout for the erection of Unit 3 (B8 warehouse) and associated infrastructure at Omega West pursuant to planning permission P/2020/0061/HYBR. Along with details required by conditions to be submitted with reserved matters no. 48-52, 55-56, 59-60, 64-65, 72-74, 76, 78, 80-81, 90-91, 95, 97 and 98 and satisfy other relevant conditions.

The application is for a Major Development. A Departure from the Development Plan in force in the area.

Proposal: Variation of condition 1 of P/2020/0061/HYBR to amend the split of total floorspace from 30% B2 (General Industrial) and 70% B8 (Storage and Distribution) to 22% B2 (General Industrial) and 78% B8 (Storage and Distribution).

Location: Land To The West Of Omega South & South Of The M62 Omega West Zone 8 St Helens

The reasons for this notice are that an updated Environmental Statement accompanies the application; the development does not accord with the provisions of the development plan in force in the area, as the site is allocated as Green Belt and it is for major development.
The application was made on 24th March 2022 and members of the public may obtain copies of the Environmental Statement, whilst stocks last, from: Mr James Guthrie, from Quod 8-14 Meard Street, London, W1F 0EQ at a cost of £949.00 per paper copy and £20 for a DVD copy.
Members of the public may inspect copies of the applications, plans and other submitted documents (including the Environmental Statement and further information relevant to the Environmental Statement) on the Council's website at

or in person at the Town Hall, Victoria Square, St Helens WA10 1 HP, 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, free of charge.
If you have any comments about the application, they can be submitted online or in writing to the Town Hall within 30 days of the publication of this notice (24th May 2022 as not including bank holidays). If you decide to submit comments, no acknowledgement will be sent. Any comments received are open to public inspection and will be displayed on the Council's website.
