On 11th April 2022 the Isle of Wight Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 53 (2)(b) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
The effect of the Order, as confirmed, is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding to them the footpath starting at the High Street, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight between properties called Friars Lane Cottage and Friars House and heading north for approximately 36m to the shore.
A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at the Help Centre, County Hall, High Street, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD during normal opening hours on weekdays. Copies of the order and map may be obtained there free of charge.
The Order comes into force on 11th April 2022, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question the validity of it, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act within 6 weeks from the date of this notice make an application to the High Court.
