The County Of Cumbria (U2200 Low Lorton, Near Cockermouth) (Temporary Prohibition Of All Traffic) Order 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Morrisons Water Services to carry out installation works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists) from proceeding along that section of the U2200 Low Lorton, near Cockermouth, from a point approx. 585 metres south east of its junction with the U2201, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 185m.
A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the U2200, U2199, B5289, B5292, C2027 and U2201. Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
2. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the road, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the road; and
3. Apply to personnel and vehicles being used in connection with the Works.

However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
