Temporary Traffic Management Order, Various Roads, Wimborne Minster
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 25 April 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 1 October 2022. These works are programmed between these dates, an exact programme of works will follow.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
[i] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along SHAKESPEARE ROAD, WIMBORNE MINSTER, between its junction with B3078 and Tennyson Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 160 metres.
[ii] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along CULVERHAYES ROAD, WIMBORNE MINSTER, between the junctions of Culverhayes Road and Stone Lane (in both directions), a distance of approximately 165 metres.
[iii] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along YEW TREE CLOSE, WIMBORNE MINSTER, with its junction with Cuthburga Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 90 metres.
[iiii] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along ST CATHERINES, WIMBORNE MINSTER, between its junction or where the road meets with Ethelbert Road and Leigh Road Close (in both directions), a distance of approximately 330 metres.
[v] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along ETHELBERT ROAD, WIMBORNE MINSTER, between its junction or where the road meets with Grove Road and St Catherines (in both directions), a distance of approximately 65 metres.
[vi] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along FAIRFIELD ROAD, WIMBORNE MINSTER, between its junction with Leigh Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 210 metres.
[vii] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along WELLAND ROAD, WIMBORNE MINSTER, between its junction with Fairfield Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 90 metres.
[viii] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along CHENE ROAD, WIMBORNE MINSTER, WIMBORNE MINSTER, between its junction with Fairfield Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 115 metres.
[ix] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along HORNBEAM WAY, COLEHILL, WIMBORNE MINSTER, WIMBORNE MINSTER, with its junction with Wesley Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 180 metres.
[x] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Shakespear Road, Culverhayes Road, Yew Tree Close, St Catherines, Ethelbery Road, Fairfield Road, Welland Road, Chene Road and Horneam Way, Wimborne Minster. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Notice of Making a Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980

The above order, made on 25 March 2022 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert parts of Footpath 8, St Leonards & St Ives and part of Footpath 8. West Moors as shown on the order map as follows:
From the existing paths:
Parts of Footpath 8, St Leonards & St Ives:
i. The full width of the footpath from its junction with Footpath 7 at SU 09880131, west then north west across a field and crossing into the next field to SU 09760132. Width: 12 feet wide enclosed between hedges then 10 feet wide enclosed between hedges to footbridge and parish boundary (as recorded in the County of Dorset definitive statement).
ii. The full width of the footpath from the unaffected part of Footpath 8 at the field boundary at SU 09720136, north west across the field to the track at SU 09620144. Width: 12 feet wide enclosed between hedges then 10 feet wide enclosed between hedges to footbridge and parish boundary (as recorded in the County of Dorset definitive statement).
iii. The full width of the footpath from the unaffected part of Footpath 8 at SU 09600146, north west across a field to its junction with Footpath 8, West Moors at the parish boundary at SU 09590147. Width: 12 feet wide enclosed between hedges then 10 feet wide enclosed between hedges to footbridge and parish boundary (as recorded in the County of Dorset definitive statement).
Part of Footpath 8, West Moors:
The full width of the footpath from the unaffected part of Footpath 8 at SU 09360160, east south east and south east, passing through St Leonards Farm Park and across a field to its junction with Footpath 8, St Leonards and St Ives at SU 09590147 at the parish boundary. (No recorded width).
To the new paths:
Parts of Footpath 8, St Leonards & St Ives:
i. From its junction with Footpath 7 at SU 09880132, generally west (via SU 09870132) along the southern field boundary to the unaffected part of Footpath 8 at SU 09760132. The width of this part of Footpath 8 varies: 2 metres between SU 09880132 - SU 09870132, 1.2 metres at SU 09870132, 2.5 metres between SU 09870132 - SU 09760132.
ii. From the unaffected part of Footpath 8 at the field boundary at SU 09720136, west north west along the southern field boundary to the track at SU 09620139 and continuing north east and north west along the farm track to the unaffected part of Footpath 8 at SU 09620144. The width of this part of Footpath 8 varies: 2.5 metres between SU 09720136 - SU 09620139, 1.2 metres at SU 09620139, 2 metres between SU 09620139 -SU 09620144.
iii. From the unaffected part of Footpath 8 at SU 09600146, north north west along the track to its junction with the proposed new route of Footpath 8, West Moors at the parish boundary at SU 09590150. The width of this part of Footpath 8 is 2 metres.
Part of Footpath 8, West Moors:
From the unaffected part of Footpath 8 at SU 09360160, north north east (via SU 09360161) to SU 09380163 then east south east along a track, passing to the north of St Leonards Farm Park to SU 09510160 and south along the track to SU 09510158. It continues east south east along the track to SU 09580156, then south and south south east along the track to its junction with the proposed new route of Footpath 8, St Leonards and St Ives at the parish boundary at SU 09590150. The width of this part of Footpath 8 is 2 metres, except for 1.2 metres at SU 09360161 and SU 09380163.
