York, Multiple Traffic & Road Restrictions

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Sections 14(1) & 15(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 7th day of April 2022 in respect of the locations numbered (1), (2) & (3).
(1) PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO 1/2/20, COPMANTHORPE
This Order prohibits vehicles & pedestrians from proceeding and waiting in that length of footpath on Public Footpath No 1/2/20, Copmanthorpe between its junction with Fletcher’s Croft and a location approximately 15 metres east of the East Coast Mainline Railway (closed footpath) during the period when railway maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 2230hrs on Saturday, 09 April 2022 and ending at 0900hrs on Sunday, 10 April 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely.
(2) WIGGINTON ROAD LEVEL CROSSING, YORK
This Order prohibits vehicles & pedestrians from proceeding through the Wigginton Road Level Crossing, York (closed road) during the period when railway track maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 2335hrs on Monday, 11 April 2022 and ending at 0555hrs on Tuesday, 12 April 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely.
(3) FULFORD ROAD, YORK
This Order prohibits vehicles & pedestrians from proceeding and waiting in that length of footway on Fulford Road, York between the extended southern boundaries of property No’s 110 & 115 (closed footway) during the period when footway resurfacing works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0800hrs on Monday, 11 April 2022 and ending at 1630hrs on Friday, 29 April 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, all on-street parking will be suspended on the west side of Fulford Road between the junction with Alma Terrace and a location 17 metres south of said junction. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians will be signed during the works period.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
