Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council ("the Council") has on 6th April 2022 made the Order named below under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when they come into operation on 11th April 2022 will introduce various changes to the waiting or parking restrictions in part or parts of the roads identified:


Brighton & Hove Outer Areas (Waiting, Loading And Parking) And Cycle Lanes Consolidation Order 2018 Amendment Order No.5 2022

* Acacia Avenue, Colbourne Avenue, Davey Drive, Dunster Close, Foxdown Road, Horton Road, Hunston Close, Larch Close, Major Close, Maple Gardens, Tintern Close, Wigmore Close & Withdean Rise - Proposed double yellow lines (No Waiting At Any Time)

* Freehold Terrace - Proposed extension to double yellow lines (No Waiting At Any Time)

Please note that the proposed extension to double yellow lines in Whippingham Road previously advertised on 18th February 2022 in the Brighton & Hove Various Controlled Parking Zones Consolidation Order 2018 Amendment Order No.* 202* (Ref: TRO-6a-2022) has been withdrawn and will be re-advertised at a later date. A copy of this Notice, the Order as made and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be seen online at

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
