(Cort Street, Consett) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 20 metres of Cort Street, Consett to the rear of number 6 to enable sewer repair works to be undertaken. A diversion will be available from the south side of the closure, via Park Road, then Cort Street (Front) and St Aidens Street, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 25/4/22 from 8am and are anticipated to be completed in S days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
