(B6312 Sacriston Lane, Witton Gilbert) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 1 /4/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on an approximate 636 metre length of B6312 Sacriston Lane, Witton Gilbert from the Working Mens Club in a northerly direction to junction with Valley View to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. For the duration of the temporary road closure, it will also be necessary to temporarily suspend The County Council of Durham (Hillside Estate, Witton Gilbert) (Prohibition of Entry) Order 1977 to allow vehicular egress from Hillside / Fair View. Alternative route from the northern side of the closure from B6312 north eastwards to Sacriston crossroads, then south easterly on B6532 Findon Hill to Framwellgate Moor, then south westerly on Dryburn Park to A167 Sniperley Roundabout, then north westerly on A691 to Witton Gilbert to the southern side of the closure, and vice versa.

The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 10/4/22 from 7am to 7pm daily and are anticipated to be completed in 5 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Dated: 7th April 2022
