The Dorset Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2022
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset has made the abovementioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
2. When the Order comes into operation on 28 March 2022 the effect of the Order will be to
- Consolidate all previous off street parking orders and variation notices made by the Council in respect of off-street parking places
- Introduce tariff changes in certain car parks
- Introduce restrictions on permitted vehicles according to length in certain car parks
- Introduce charges into certain previously no charge car parks
- Introduce a new off street parking places permit parking scheme.

4. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for that purpose.

Temporary Closure of Church Road, Pimperne
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Church Road, Pimperne between the junctions of Newfield Road To Church Road and St Peters Close (in both directions), a distance of approximately 100 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 08th April 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 22 April 2022.
This Order will enable Hi Acre Construction agents of Global Utility Connections, safe access to connect a new foul manhole to an existing sewer line.
An alternative route will be signed using: Church Road - Anvil Road - A354 - A350 -Higher Shaftesbury Road - Bushes Road

Temporary Closure of Watery Lane & The Glebe, Iwerne Minster
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 25 April 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 1 October 2022. These works are programmed between these dates and a exact programme of works will follow.
[i] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along WATERY LANE, IWERNE MINSTER, between the junctions of The Chalk and Church Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 330 metres.
[ii] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along THE GLEBE AND THE GLEBE COURT, IWERNE MINSTER, from the junction of Watery Lane (in both directions), a distance of approximately 160 metres.
[iii] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Watery Lane, The Glebe and Glebe Court. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of The Glebe & Rectory Gardens, Shroton
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 25 April 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 1 October 2022.
[i] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along THE GLEBE, SHROTON, from the junction of Main Street (in both directions), a distance of approximately 200 metres.
[ii] All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along RECTORY GARDENS, SHROTON, from its junction with The Glebe (in both directions), a distance of approximately 60 metres.
[iii] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along The Glebe and Rectory Gardens, Shroton. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of Dead Man to Edmondsham Lane, Cranborne
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along DEAD MAN TO EDMONDSHAM LANE, CRANBORNE from the junction of Edmondsham To B3081 Via Sandys Hill, West and East of this point, a distance of approximately 145 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 11 April 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months. however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 19 April 2022.
Thee works have been organised to take place during the Easter Holiday to minimise disruptions to the local schools.
This Order will enable Kier agents for South West Water, safe access to install a new water service.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using: B3078 - Batterley Drove -Edmondsham Road - Champtoceaux Avenue - B3081

Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Kingston
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It came into operation between 07:00 until 17:00 on 29 March 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 11 April 2022.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
The effect of this Order is as follows:
1 To impose temporary road closure on Various Roads, Kingston as listed South Street from the junction with West Street to a point approximately 930 metres to the south; [ii] West Street from the junction with the B3069 to a point approximately 1880 metres to the west. There will be no alternative route on this occasion, however access will be maintained.  [2] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Various Roads, Kingston as listed South Street from the junction with West Street to a point approximately 930 metres to the south; [ii] West Street from the junction with the B3069 to a point approximately 1880 metres to the west. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Closure of Jennys Lane & Dolmans Hill, Lytchett Matravers
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 07:00 until 17:00 on 12 April 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28 April 2022.
This Notice will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
The effect of this Order is as follows:
1 To impose temporary road closure on Various Roads, Lytchett Matravers as listed:
[i] Jenny's Lane from the junction with High Street to the junction with Dolmans Hill;
[ii] Dolmans Hill from the junction with Jennys Lane to the junction with Bulbury Lane. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
2 To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Various Roads, Lytchett Matravers as listed: [i] Jenny's Lane from the junction with High Street to the junction with Dolmans Hill;
[ii] Dolmans Hill from the junction with Jennys Lane to the junction with Bulbury Lane. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Management Order of A354 Portland Road
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 11 April 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 18 April 2022.
This Order will enable Velocity on behalf of Dorset Council to carry out Highway Asphalt Preservation works.
The effect of this notice is as follows;
1 To impose a temporary road closure on A354 Portland Road from its junction with Foords roundabout to its junction with Dumbarton Road between 00:00hrs and 06:00hrs
2 To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along A354 Portland Road between its junction with Foords Corner and its junction with Dumbarton Road between 00:00hrs and 06:00hrs. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
3 To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along A354 Portland Road between its junction with Dumbarton Road and Ferrybridge roundabout between 19:00hrs and 06:00hrs. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections, however these routes will not be suitable for HGV's, assistance will be available on site.
