The Dorset Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2022
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset has made the abovementioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
2. When the Order comes into operation on 28 March 2022 the effect of the Order will be to
- Consolidate all previous off street parking orders and variation notices made by the Council in respect of off-street parking places
- Introduce tariff changes in certain car parks
- Introduce restrictions on permitted vehicles according to length in certain car parks
- Introduce charges into certain previously no charge car parks
- Introduce a new off street parking places permit parking scheme.

4. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for that purpose.

Temporary Closure of Crack Lane, Langton Matravers
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 9 May 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 13 May 2022.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
1 To impose temporary road closure on Crack Lane, Langton Matravers from the junction with B3069 High Street to the junction with A351 Valley Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 170 metres. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
2 To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Crack Lane, Langton Matravers from the junction with B3069 High Street to the junction with A351 Valley Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 170 metres. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Any person whouses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
