DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES - SCHEDULE 222

The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (Amendment No.H3) Order 20-
The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No.H4) Order 20-


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

1. The general effect of the Orders would be to:

a)
Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of Nos. 162 and 165 Bensham Lane, Thornton Heath, No. 150 Burlington Road, Thornton Heath, No. 85 Cobden Road, South Norwood, No. 4a Cresswell Road, South Norwood, No. 41 Dixon Road, South Norwood, No. 57 Isham Road, Norbury, No. 46 Malvern Road, Thornton Heath, No. 34 St. Dunstan's Road, South Norwood, No. 73 Waddon Park Avenue, Croydon, No. 32a Whitworth Road, South Norwood and No. 37 Zermatt Road, Thornton Heath.

b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons' badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.

c) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders so as to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

3. A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, at Bernard Wetherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking. Design@croydon.gov.uk.

4. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the, Parking Design section, Place Department, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1 EA or by emailing Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk quoting the reference: PD/CH/H3 & H4 by 28 April 2022.

CROYDON COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

BROUGHTON ROAD. THORNTON HEATH TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate cable installation works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict parking in Broughton Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, rolling parking suspensions and temporary waiting and loading restrictions operating 'at any time' will be introduced in Broughton Road.

3. The Order will come into operation on 11 April 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 25 April 2022. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months to be reintroduced if further works are required.

4. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) a vehicle being used to carry out the said works;

(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
HALING DOWN PASSAGE. PURLEY  TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC


1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate Thames Water service pipe works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Haling Down Passage, Purley.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Haling Down Passage will be closed at the rear of No.94 Montpelier Road.

3. The Order will come into operation on 13 April 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within 3 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

4. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CROYDON COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14, AS AMENDED
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR OR PEDESTRIAN ACCESS AND TEMPORARY PARKING RESTRICTIONS


1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate essential highway maintenance works that may take place within the London Borough of Croydon, they have amended The Croydon (Highways Maintenance Works) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular and Pedestrian Traffic and Parking Order) 2021, the effect of which would be to allow the following measures to be introduced, providing that the relevant permissions have been granted by the Council, in relation to any street listed in the Schedule to this Notice for which Croydon Council are the highway authority:

(a) temporarily introduce one-way traffic for the duration of the works in those streets or lengths of streets;

(b) temporarily close to vehicular traffic those streets or lengths of streets;

(c) temporarily close any adjoining streets to vehicular traffic where this is considered necessary to facilitate the work in progress;

(d) temporarily introduce banned turns, footway closures or waiting and loading restrictions at any time should this be required; and

(e) temporarily suspend bus lanes/stops, cycle lanes, parking bays or any other traffic restriction as required where this is considered necessary to facilitate the work in progress.

2. Wherever the work happens to be in progress, no person may cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) proceed in a direction other than that indicated by a traffic sign, or

(b) proceed in any street or length of street which may at the time be subject to a road closure until the completion of the work allows.

3. Whilst the provisions of the amended Order remain in force, waiting or loading by vehicles would be prohibited at any time in those streets or lengths of streets specified where work is in progress. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction on waiting imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

4. All works requiring a road closure will be advertised complete with any diversion route on our website at the address below. www.croydon.gov.uk/transportandstreets/rhps/roads/road-closures/notices

5. Frontages affected by the above restrictions will receive notification letters approximately two weeks before any works commence.

6. The amended Order will come into operation on the 08 April 2022 and will remain in force until 30 October 2022, 18 months from the operational date of the original Order.

(Note: The provisions of the Order will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. (Access for frontagers would be maintained whilst the work proceeds).

CROYDON COUNCIL

KING HENRY'S DRIVE. NEW ADDINGTON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate bridge maintenance works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in King Henry's Drive.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place King Henry's Drive will be closed between Goldcrest Way and Kestrel Way.

3. Whilst the closure is in operation the alternative route for traffic will be via King Henry's Drive, Parkway, Central Parade, Arnhem Drive and reversed, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 09 April 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 23 April 2022. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC MANOR WAY. SOUTH CROYDON


1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate water service pipe works on behalf of Thames Water they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Manor Way.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Manor Way will be closed outside No. 11 Manor Way.

3. During the works the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Croham Manor Road, Bankside, Winchelsey Rise, Manor Way and reversed, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on the 11 April 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within approximately nine days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) A vehicle being used to carry out the works;

(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CROYDON COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED BY THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1985 AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
CANNING ROAD. CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC


1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate re-surfacing works on behalf of Tramlink they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to restrict traffic in Canning Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Canning Road will be closed between its junction with Addiscombe Road and a point 10 metres north of that junction.

3. During the closure the alternative routes for traffic will be via Lower Addiscombe Road, Leslie Park Road, Tunstall Road, Addiscombe Court Road and Addiscombe Road, or via Lower Addiscombe Road, Clyde Road, Chepstow Road, Park Hill Road and Addiscombe Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on 23 April 2022 and it is expected that the works will be carried out overnight over two weekends (23 and 24 April, and 30 April and 01 May 2022) between 11pm and 6am. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
