The A46 Trunk Road (Aston Cross To Beckford) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A46 Trunk
Road, between Aston Cross and Beckford, in the Counties of Gloucestershire and Worcestershire, to enable resurfacing and lighting works to be carried out. The effect of the Order will be to, at different times, -
(1) close the A46 between its junction with the B4079 at Aston Cross, and its junction with Station Road at Beckford, including the circulatory carriageway of its roundabout junction with the A435, the B4077 and Crashmore Lane (Teddington Hands Roundabout);

(2) close any layby adjacent to the length of A46 described in (1) above; and

(3) prohibit any vehicle from entering or leaving the length of the A46 described in (1) above, at its junction with any side road;

(4) prohibit any vehicle from entering or leaving Teddington Hands Roundabout, at its junction with any side road.

The work will be carried out in phases overnight between 21:00 hours and 06:00 hours and are expected to start on Monday 2 May 2022 and continue for approximately eight weeks. The layby closures will be in operation from 21:00 hours on Monday 2 May 2022 for twenty-four hours per day for the duration of the works. The Order will come into
force on 25 April 2022.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closures and side road prohibitions. Access to properties will be maintained at all times.
Diversion routes via the M5, the A4538 and the A44 and vice versa and via the B4077, the B4632, Leamington Road and the A44 and vice versa will be signed. Local diversion routes will also be in operation. For further information please contact Heidi
