The County Of Cumbria (Various Roads In The Copeland Area) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) (No.2) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable United Utilities to carry out utility works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.
Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force.
The works will not necessarily be done in numerical order. The contractor will ensure that local residents and the general public are informed of which roads are to be closed and when, nearer the time.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and

2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and

3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and

The Order will come into operation on 11 April 2022 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as specified in the Schedule and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Schedule Extent Of Restrictions And Alternative Routes

1. U4011 Park View, Whitehaven - From: 11/04/2022 for approx. 3 days (Ref: CO22-054)

From its junction with the U4011 extending in an easterly direction for approx. 50m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U4012, U4008 and the U4011.
2. U4337 High Road, Whitehaven - From: 26/04/2022 for approx. 3 days (Ref: CO22-055)

From a point approx. 100m south east of its junction with Basket Road, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 100m. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of High Road, Rosemary Lane, Preston Street, Ginns to Kells Road and Ennerdale Terrace.
3. U4021 Galemire, Cleator Moor - From: 26/04/2022 for approx. 1 day (Ref: CO22-056)

From a point approx. 600m north west of its junction with the C4003 extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 120m There is no suitable alternative route available.
4. C4016 Grange, Egremont - From: 26/04/2022 for approx. 1

day (Ref: CO22-057)
From a point approx. 1200m north east of its junction with the A595 extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 700m. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C4016,
C4004 and the A595.
5. Loweswater Avenue, Whitehaven - From: 14/04/2022 for

approx. 3 days (Ref: CO22-058)
From a point approx. 100m south east of its junction with Rydal Avenue, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 50m. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Loweswater Avenue, Woodhouse Road, High Road and Rydal Avenue.
