HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 The Somerset County Council
(Footpath BW35/12 (parts) in the Parish of West Huntspill) Public Path Diversion Order, 2022

The above order made on 25th March 2022 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert:
1) Part of footpath BW35/12 starts from national grid reference ST2933245910 point A and runs in a generally westerly direction for approximately 70 metres to point B [ST2926545912]. To a new route which starts from national grid reference ST2933545929 point E and runs in a westerly direction for approximately 70 metres to point F [ST2926645931] then in a southerly direction for approximately 21 metres to point B (ST2926545912). The width of the footpath is 2 metres.

2) Part of footpath BW35/12 starts from national grid reference ST2926245675 point C and runs in a south south easterly direction for approximately 56 metres to point D [ST2928345622]. To a new route which starts from national grid reference ST2926245675 point C and runs in a south easterly direction for approximately 46 metres to point G [ST2929145639] then in a south westerly direction for approximately 18 metres to point D [ST2928345622]. The width of the footpath is 2 metres.

A copy of the order and the order plan have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Somerset County Council, A Block, County Hall, Taunton, from 9.00am until 3.00pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the Order and plan may be obtained by contacting

Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to Rights of Way Definitive Map Team, Economic and Community Infrastructure, Somerset County Council, B Block, County Hall, Taunton, TA1 4DY, to be received not later than 3rd May 2022. Please state the grounds on which it is made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Somerset County Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order. At this stage they will be made available for public inspection. Prior to submission to the Secretary of State, representations and objections will only be disclosed anonymously (i.e. with personal data redacted).
