The County Of Cumbria (Various Roads In The Allerdale Area) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) (No.L) Order 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria Highways to carry out drainage and carriageway surfacing ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule. Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and
2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and
4. Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works. Any queries to the Highways Hotline 0300 303 2992 or email

The Order will come into operation on 5 April 2022 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as stated in the schedule and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. SCHEDULE
EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
1. U2129, Birkmire, Ireby - Duration: from 5 April 2022 for approx. 5 days
(Ref: AL22-089)
From a point approx. 740 metres west of its junction with the B5299, extending in a westerly direction for approx. 190 metres. Alternative Route: the unrestricted sections of the U2129, the C2021, C2020 and B5299.
2. C2051, Moorhouse - Duration: from 18 April 2022 for approx. 3 days
(Ref: AL22-087)
From its junction with the U2055, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 115 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C2051, the
C2040 Oulton and the U2055.
3. B5301, Balladoyle Road, Silloth - Duration: from 27 April 2022 for approx. 3 weeks (Ref: AL22-073)
(i) From its junction with the C2015, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 225 metres; and
(ii) From its junction with the C2015, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 605 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the B5301, the
B5302, Eden Street, Criffel Street, the B5302 Abbeytown and the A596 Wigton to Aspatria.
4. B5302, Abbeytown - Duration: from 27 April 2022 for approx. 3 weeks (Ref: AL22-074)
From a point approx. 280 metres south east of ts junction with Abbey Road, extending north westerly and then westerly for approx. 1.8 kilometres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the B5302, the A596, B5301 Aspatria to Silloth, the B5300, Eden Street and
Criffel Street.
5. B5302, Wigton Road, Silloth - Duration: from 27 April 2022 for approx. 3 weeks (Ref: AL22-075)
From a point approx. 705 metres east of its junction with Criffel Street, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 1.2 kilometres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the B5302, the A596, B5301 Aspatria to Silloth, B5300, Eden Street, and Criffel Street.
6. B5302, Waverbridge - Duration: from 27 April 2022 for approx. 3 weeks (Ref: AL22-076)
From its junction with the C2050, extending in a westerly direction for approx. 3.2 kilometres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the B5302, the A596, B5301 Aspatria to Silloth, B5300, Eden Street, and Criffel Street.
