Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE Is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under Its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1222 From Hungerstone To Grithill Cottage Via Thrxixton, Thnixton, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1222 From Hungerstone To Grithill Cottage Via Thruxton, Thruxton, from the junction with Pinnocks Place to approximately 320 metres northwards of the junction with the B4348. Grid Ref: 344283/235000. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1222 onto the B4348, onto the Gorsty Common Road, onto Cobhall Common Road, onto Pinnocks Place and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to drainage and headwall installation works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 19th of April 2022 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 7 days.
