Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Charlton-on-Otmoor - Bridleway Closure Date of Order: 28 March 2022 Coming into force: 4 April 2022 This Order is being introduced because of temporary bridge strengthening works which are anticipated to be completed 14 April 2022. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily those parts of Bridleway 157/3/10 and 209/15/10 which approach the bridge from either side. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to property which is only accessible from the closed sections of bridleway. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. The alternative route for those affected by the closure is via Fencott road, with no designated walkway for pedestrians. There is no other suitable diversion route in the area. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T10100/AC)

Middle Aston & Somerton Bridleway Closure for Horses only Date of Order: 28 March 2022
Coming into force: 5 April 2022 This Order continues in force a closure by emergency Notice commenced 15 March introduced for remedial work to culverts which is anticipated to be completed in 6 months. The effect of the Order is to close to horses and riders that part of Middle Aston Bridleway 7 (eastwards from Middle Aston Lane) and Somerton Bridleway 6. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian only access which are only accessible from the closed section of bridleway. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. There is no official alternative route for horses/riders.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T10160/AC)
