NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 23 March 2022 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is as follows: Order 1 -To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Avebury) (Restricted Roads) Order 1998 and The County of Wiltshire (A4361, Avebury) (30mph Speed Limit) Order 2016 and re-enact them both in Order 1, for administrative purposes only, with no changes to be made on the ground. Order 2 - To introduce a 50mph speed limit on A4, Avebury - from a point 53 metres east of its junction with the road through Beckhampton Village (eastern entrance) to a point 131 metres west of the western entrance to Beckhampton Stables (including Beckhampton Roundabout); A361, Avebury - from a point 145 metres west of its junction with the road through Beckhampton Village (western entrance) in an easterly direction to its junction with Beckhampton Roundabout; A4361 Beckhampton Road, Avebury - from its junction with Beckhampton Roundabout to a point 115 metres south west of the entrance to Avebury Visitors Car Park; A4361 Swindon Road, Avebury, Winterbourne Monkton and Berwick Bassett - from a point 280 metres north of the entrance to Avebury Manor to a point 715 metres south of the entrance to Rabson Manor. Order 3 - To introduce a national speed limit on A4361 Swindon Road, Berwick Bassett, Winterbourne Bassett and Broad Hinton - from a point 715 metres south of the entrance to Rabson Manor to a point 87 metres south of its junction with C18 Fiddlers Hill. Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Orders will come into operation on 4 April 2022

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C45 (Part), Dauntsey; from its junction with B4069 for a distance of approximately 500m in a north westerly direction to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out location and clearage of blockage for a fibre installation. Alternative route via B4069 - C66 - C77 - C45 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 25 April 2022 and the closure will be required for 1 day. B) Coniston Road (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Salisbury Close for its entire length. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 28 April 2022 and the closures will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 until 04 May 2022. I) Emery Lane, Chippenham; from its junction with St Mary Street for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 25 April 2022 and the closures will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 5 days. - Stanley Lane - A4 - C136 and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 31 May 2021 will now recommence on 04 April 2022 and the closure will be required for 4 days. Orders A) to N) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Orders O) to R) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all users: Footpath 8 (Part), Malmesbury; from its junction with B4014 for a distance of approximately 80m in south westerly direction to enable the carrying out of a residential development pursuant to planning permission. Alternative route via public highway and public rights of way. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 25 April 2022 and the closure will be required for 06 Months. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 06 months.
