Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic Kenilworth Road Penge
NOTICE OF MAKING AN ORDER
1. The Council of the London Borough of Bromley HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that in order for Thames Water to repair a water leak THEY HAVE MADE an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following restrictions on vehicular traffic: -
Kenilworth Road, Penge will be closed for up to five days from Monday 4th April 2022. The road will be closed at the junction of Stenning Yard. The closure will be in place for the entire duration of works.
The permanent one way system will be suspended during the works to allow two way traffic movements on either side of the road closure area. The no entry restriction at the junction of Kenilworth Road/High Street will be temporarily removed during the road closure period to maintain vehicle access.
Displaced Eastbound traffic will be diverted via: -
High Street A234, Clevedon Road and Westbury Road.
Displaced Westbound traffic will be diverted via: -
Westbury Road, Royston Road and High Street A234.
2. THE prohibitions referred to in paragraph 1 above shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
3. THE Order will come into effect on Monday 4th April 2022 with no specified finish date.
4. ALTHOUGH the Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months, it is expected that the actual works will that the works will take up to five days to complete and will begin on or after the commencement date of the Order.
5. NOTHING in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission or direction of a Police Officer in uniform or a Traffic Warden.
6. THE restriction referred to in this Order shall not apply to vehicles being used in connection with the work.
7. ACCESS to properties will be maintained at all times, however vehicles will need to follow the diversion signs displayed on site whilst the closure is in place. Emergency access and egress routes will be maintained at all times. Pedestrian access will be available at all times during the works.
