(A120 Northbound Carriageway only, Harwich) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022 Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council In exercise of Its powers under Section 14(1) and 16 A-C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends not less than seven days from the date of this order, to make the above Orders to facilitate the Mayflower 400 Harwich Half Marathon. Effect of the orders: To temporarily close the following roads, Harwich in the District of Tendring (route of Marathon):
Road Description
Lower Marine Parade From its junction with the B1414 Parade Marine Parade and Franks Road to its junction with Wick Lane and Promenade.
Wick Lane From its junction with Lower Marine Parade and Promenade to its junction with Hall Lane
Low Road From its junction with Hall Lane to its junction with Gravel Hill Way.
Gravel Hill Way From its junction with Low Road to its junction with Abbott Road.
Abbott Road From its junction with Gravel Hill Way to its junction with Low Road.
B1414 Marine Parade From its junction with Lower Marine Parade and Franks Road to its junction with Orwell Road.
Barrack Lane From its junction with the B1352 Main Road to its junction with Mayflower Avenue.
Harbour Crescent From its junction with Mayflower Avenue to its junction with the B1352 Main Road (Excluding Harbour Crescent Service Road).
B1352 Main Road/ West Street From its junction with Harbour Crescent to its junction with the A120 roundabout at The Quay. From its junction with West Street continuing as Kings Quay Street to its junction with Outpart Eastward.
Outpart Eastward From its junction with Wellington Road to its junction with Angelgate.
Angelgate From its junction with Outpart Eastwards to its junction with Wellington Road.
The northbound carriageway of the A120, Harwich will also be closed for public safety from the roundabout at its junction with Ingestre Street to its junction with West Street.
The restrictions are scheduled to commence on 03/04/2022 for 1 day between the hours of 6am to 8pm or where appropriate signs are showing, and weather permitting and is required to facilitate the Mayflower 400 Harwich Half Marathon. Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Orders will come into effect on 03/04/2022 and may continue in force for 3 days (in relation to the restrictions on the route of the Marathon) or 18 months (in relation to the restrictions issued for public safety) unless extended by the Secretary of State.
(Mill Hill, Lawford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022 Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Hill, Lawford in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 440m east of the junction with Jupes Hill for a distance of approximately 340m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 31 st March 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC0080GEA54816205 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach. An alternative route is available via Long Road East, Bargate Lane, Harwich Road, Dedham Road and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 18th March 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
