South Street, Temporary Road Closure

(South Street, Willington) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 18/3/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 255 metres of South Street to the rear of numbers. 48-88 High Street, and 23 metres of High Street side (number 77), and South Street side (Number 11 Hutton Terrace), Willington to enable essential gas main renewal works to be undertaken. Alternative route will be available locally via Burn Place and Hutton Terrace. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 26/3/22 and are anticipated to be completed in 8 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
