The County Of Cumbria (C5067 Paddy Lane, Kendal) (Temporary Prohibition Of All Traffic) Order 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of the likelihood of danger to the public, as a result of a collapsed retaining wall, the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists) from proceeding along that section of the C5067 Paddy Lane, Kendal from its junction with Appleby Road, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 791 metres. A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available as follows:
South Bound Vehicles: via the A685 Appleby Road, A684 Castle Street and C5066 Sedbergh Road and unrestricted section of Paddy Lane.
North Bound Vehicles: via the C5066 Sedbergh Road, A684 Castle Street and Ann Street, A65 Wildman Street, Beezon Road, A6 Station Road and A685 Appleby Road. N.B. This follows 2 emergency notices dated 18 February 2022 and 11 March 2022.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
2. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the road, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the road; and
