(Wood Street, Shotley Bridge) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 18/3/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on IS metres of Wood Street that extends northwards from its junction with A691 Cutlers Hall Road, Shotley Bridge to enable sewer cleansing and survey works to be undertaken. It will also be necessary to temporarily suspend the County Council of Durham (Wood Street, Shotley Bridge)(One-Way Street) Order 2010 to enable access to the open section of Wood Street during the works period. Alternative route from the southern side of the closure via A691 Cutlers Hall Road northerly then turning south westerly onto B6278 Burnmill Bank to the northern side of the closure. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 28/3/22 from 9am and are anticipated to be completed in 1-5 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
