(Hamsterley Mill Village, Hamsterley Mill) (20 Mph Zone) Order 2022

The Council on 18 March 2022 made an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 & 87 and part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 "the Act"), as amended, the effect of which comes into operation on 31 March 2022 and is to introduce 20mph ZONE on the following roads for their entire length including all side streets and back lanes 1. Parklands 2. High Hamsterley Road 3. Lodge Close 4. Long Close Road S. Tollgate Road 6. High Mill Road 7. Mill Farm Road.

Full details are contained in the Order and can be inspected via the Council website and at Annfield Plain Library during normal opening hours. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by "the Act", as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks from 24 March 2022 apply to make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
