Bremnhill, Temporary Closure to all Traffic

Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C132 (Part), Bremhill; from outside property known as Elm Tree House for a distance of approximately 400m in a northerly direction to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out location and blockage clearage for a fibre installation. Alternative route via C132 (unaffected length) - C111 -C118 - Lye Common - C132 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 April 2022 and the closure will be required for 1 day. B) C45 (Part), Dauntsey; from its junction with Brinkworth Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a southerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out installation of a new connection. Alternative route via C107 - C109 - C108 - C45 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 April 2022 and the closure will be required for 3 days. C) Hill Corner Road, Chippenham; from its junction with B4158 to its junction with B4069 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, footway works, road marking, adjustment of ironworks and associated works. Alternative route via B4158 - A420 - B4069 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 April 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 until 27 April 2022. D) C188 (Part), Ramsbury; from its junction with B4192 for a distance of approximately 110m in an easterly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out ferrule exchange cway in carriageway. Alternative route via C188 (unaffected length) - Witcha Lane - Shell Wood Lane - B4192 and vice versa. E) C171 (Part), Kington Langley and Kington St Michael; from its junction with A350 for a distance of approximately 500m in a south easterly direction. And to temporarily introduce a 40mph speed restriction on the following length of road: A350 Southbound (Part), Kington Langley; from its roundabout junction with M4 junction 17 for a distance of approximately 450m in a southerly direction to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out connection of Gigaclear network to Openreach network and associated works. Alternative route via C171 (unaffected length) - C154 - A350 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 21 April 2022 and the closure and speed limit will be required between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. F) Marlborough Road (Part), Aldbourne; from outside property known as Duck Cottage to its junction with The Butts to enable Thames Water to carry out service pipe repairs and associated works. Alternative route: via Marlborough Road (unaffected length) - Stock Lane and Castle Street and vice versa. G) Pavenhill (Part), Purton; from its junction with The Masons to its junction with Dogridge to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out locating and clearing a blockage for a fibre installation. Alternative route via Pavenhill (unaffected length) - C414 - B4042 - B4696 - C67 - Pavenhill (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 March 2022 and the closure will be required for 1 day. H) Eastcourt Road (Part), Burbage; from outside property known as 31 Eastcourt Road to outside property known as 35 Eastcourt Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out scaffolding work on property and associated works. Alternative route via Eastcourt Road (unaffected length) - Eastcourt - Eastcourt Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 March 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 06:00 and 23:59 until 10 April 2022. I) A346 (Part), Burbage and Savernake; from its junction with Ram Alley Lane to its junction with C199 to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out, take down and rebuild damaged brickwork pilaster and associated works. Alternative route via A346 (unaffected length) - A4 - A338 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 March 2022 and the closure will be required until 02 April 2022. J) C113 (Part), Bremhill; from the road outside building known as Old Brewers for a distance of approximately 130m in a north westerly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out installation of a new connection. Alternative route via C113 (unaffected length) - C375 - B4069 - A420 - A4 -C113 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 March 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 for 5 days. K) B4069 (Part), Christian Malford, Dauntsey, Lyneham and Bradenstoke; from its junction with Station Road, Christian Malford to its junction with A3102, Lyneham and Bradenstoke to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out repair of carriageway defect likely to create danger or serious inconvenience to users of the network. Alternative route via B4069 (unaffected length) - B4122 - A429 - B4042 - A3102 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 March 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 01 April 2022. L) B4069 (Part), Dauntsey, Lyneham and Bradenstoke; from its junction with Clack Hill, Dauntsey to its junction with Hollow Way, Lyneham and Bradenstoke to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out an emergency closure due to land slip. Alternative route via B4069 (unaffected length) - A3102 - A4 - A420 - B4069 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This closure which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 31 March 2022 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 17 February 2023 or until works have been finished. Orders A) to L) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.


Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The County Of Wiltshire (North Chippenham Link Road, Chippenham) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce a 50mph speed limit on North Chippenham Link Road, Chippenham - from its roundabout junction with A350/B4158 Malmesbury Road to its roundabout junction with B4069/Parsonage Way.
