THE KINGSTON UPON THAMES (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO.1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2022 NO. 5
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames made the above mentioned Order on 10 January 2022 under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order which will be to impose a speed limit of 20 miles per hour in the roads listed in the Schedule to this Notice. (Please note, for roads listed where a partial 20mph limit is already in place, the speed limit applies the whole length of that road) and the corresponding traffic order is either partially or fully revoked.

3. The made Orders which will come into effect on 25th March 2022 and plans can be inspected:

a) online at

b) The Information and Advice Centre, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EU between 9am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive

c) at Council libraries; and

d) copies of the made Orders and plans can also be obtained by calling 020 8547 5000 (between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays) or by emailing 

(please quote ref. KingMap0061). The made documents will be available until 9th May 2022.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 9 May 2022.
