The Council Of The Borough Of St Helens (A580 Big Longborough Farm) (Prohibition Of Entry And Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 23rd March 2022 St Helens Borough Council In exercise of Its powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1), (2) and (4) and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police In accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the aforesaid Act, made an Order, the effect of which will be as described In the Schedules below.
SCHEDULE 1 - PROHIBITION OF ENTRY

A580 East Lancashire Road
Location/Direction
At the access to Big Longborough Farm (approximately 450m west of the junction with Blindfoot Road) from NORTH to SOUTH across the central reservation

Prohibition Of Driving Except For Farm Access

No person shall, except upon the direction of, or with the permission of, a police constable In uniform, cause or permit any vehicle, other than a vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes or for farm access to proceed across the central reservation on the A580 at Big Longborough Farm as described In Schedule 2 below:

At the access to Big Longborough Farm (approximately 450m west of the junction with Blindfoot Road) from SOUTH to NORTH across the central reservation.

This order will come into operation on 28th of March 2022.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Act 1984 or that any requirements of the Act, or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.
