Public Notice London Borough Of Bromley Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 As Amended - Section 14 (1) (C) Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic Howard Road Penge

NOTICE OF MAKING AN ORDER
1. The Council of the London Borough of Bromley HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that in order for Thames Water to repair a water leak THEY HAVE MADE an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following restrictions on vehicular traffic: -

Howard Road, Penge will be closed for up to five days from Monday 28th March 2022. The road will be closed between the junctions of Croydon Road and Maple Road, more specifically outside Howard House. The closure will be in place for the entire duration of works.
Displaced traffic will be diverted via: -
Croydon Road A213, Franklin Road and Maple Road in both directions. Waiting Vehicles
No person shall, until the works are completed, cause or permit any vehicle to wait between properties 33 to 41 Howard Road and outside Howard House, Howard Road, Penge on either side of the street. The restriction is in place from Monday 28th March 2022 at 08:00 until Friday 1st April 2022 at 18:00.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction on waiting imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986, or by the Council in accordance with the powers conferred upon it.
2. THE prohibitions referred to in paragraph 1 above shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

3. THE Order will come into effect on Monday 28th March 2022 with no specified finish date.

4. ALTHOUGH the Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months, it is expected that the actual works will that the works will take up to five days to complete and will begin on or after the commencement date of the Order.

5. NOTHING in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission or direction of a Police Officer in uniform or a Traffic Warden.

6. THE restriction referred to in this Order shall not apply to vehicles being used in connection with the work.

7. ACCESS to properties will be maintained at all times, however vehicles will need to follow the diversion signs displayed on site whilst the closure is in place. Emergency access and egress routes will be maintained at all times. Pedestrian access will be available at all times during the works.
