The Council Of Buckinghamshire (Electric Scooter) Traffic Regulation Order 2022

Buckinghamshire Council have made the above Order on the 18th March 2022 under the provisions of ssl, 2 and 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9. The effect of the Order which will be to continue in force the provisions of The Council of Buckinghamshire Experimental (Electric Scooter) Traffic Regulation Order 2020, which has been in operation since 2nd October 2020. Whilst this Order is in force the relevant Traffic Regulation Orders shall be varied by the addition of an article to permit Electric Scooters to travel in the cycle lanes and cycle tracks specified in the Schedule of that Order. In addition, Electric Scooters will not be permitted for use on the highway in the county with a signed speed limit of 50mph or more. The Order comes into operation on 31st March 2022 and will remain in force until the Electronic Scooter Trials as authorised by the Department for Transport come to an end. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or that are not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may within six weeks from the date of this Notice apply for that purpose to the High Court. The Council has made Buckinghamshire Council (Kimblewick Road, Kimblewick in the Parish of Great and Little Kimble cum Marsh CP) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2022 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Kimblewick Road for 960 metres. Alternative route: Marsh Lane, Marsh Road, Grove Lane, Lower Icknield Way, Kimblewick Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst the supplier installs 12 telecommunication poles, overhead fibre optic cables and 55m of underground ducting. This will take place on 21 March 2022 between 00:00 and 23:59. The proposed Order will come into operation on 21 March 2022, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

The Council has made Buckinghamshire Council (Station Road, Marlow in the Parish of Marlow CP) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2022 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Station Road for 34 metres. Alternative route: Station Road, High Street, Institute Road, Station Rise and vice versa. The closure is required whilst a new water connection taking place commencing on 28 March 2022 between 00:00 and 23:59. The proposed Order will come into operation on 28 March 2022, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

The Council has made Buckinghamshire Council (New Road Close, High Wycombe) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2022 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in New Road Close for 70 metres. The closure is required whilst a pole replacement takes place commencing on 28th March 2022 between 08:00 and 18:00. The proposed Order will come into operation on 28th March 2022, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

The Council has made Buckinghamshire Council (Latimer Road, Chenies) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2022 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Latimer Road for 183 metres. Alternative route: Village Road, Amersham Road, Stony Lane, Latimer Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Affinity Water install a new water connection taking place on 31 March 2022 between 08:00 and 17:00. The proposed Order will come into operation on 31 March 2022, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

The Council has made Buckinghamshire Council (Baring Road, Beaconsfield in the Parish of Beaconsfield CP) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2022 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Baring Road for approximately 50m. Alternative route: Baring Road, Penn Road, Reynolds Road, Baring Crescent and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Cadent Gas new connection. The Council has made Buckinghamshire Council (Winchbottom Lane, Flackwell Heath in the Parish of Little Marlow CP) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2022 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Winchbottom Lane for approximately 15m. Alternative route: Winchbottom Lane and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Thames Water valve installation works take place commencing on 28 March 2022 between 08:00 and 17:00. The proposed Order will come into operation on 28 March 2022, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 18 March 2022 Buckinghamshire Council (hereinafter referred
to as "the Council"), in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") as amended and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 ("the Act of 2004") as amended and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984, proposes to make the above titled Orders. The effect of the order is to amend various speed restrictions by imposing a 50 miles per hour speed limit on A355 Amersham Road between Gore Hill and Whipass Hill.
