(B7059 South Of Romannobridge) (Temporary Closing) Order 2022

The Scottish Borders Council (B7059 South of Romannobridge) (Temporary Closing) Order 2022 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 21 March 2022 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30. The Order is required for BT works. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B7059 south of Romannobridge at Noblehall Farm.
The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the B7059, A701, A72 and B7059 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. A map showing the restriction and alternative routes can be seen

(D17/1 ShiplawRoad, Eddleston) (Temporary Closing) Order 2022

The Scottish Borders Council (D17/1 Shiplaw Road, Eddleston) (Temporary Closing) Order 2022 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 00:01 on 21 March 2022 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 25 March 2022-24 hour closure. The Order is required for BT Openreach works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D17/1 Shiplaw Road, Eddleston from the A703totheD18/1.
The alternative route for westbound traffic is via the D17/1, A701 and A703 to the point of closure, for eastbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. A map showing the restriction and alternative routes can be seen

(Various Roads - Spaces For People) (Temporary Speed Restriction) Order 2022

The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads -Spaces for People) (Temporary Speed Restriction) Order 2022 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 00:01 on 21 March 2022 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 4 December 2022. The Order is required for the Spaces for People initiative to make the lengths of road safer for cyclists and walkers. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle:
(a) at a speed exceeding 20mph along the lengths of those roads in the Scottish Borders detailed in Schedule I below;

(b) at a speed exceeding 30mph along the length of those roads in the Scottish Borders detailed in Schedule II below; and

|c) at a speed exceeding 40mph along the lengths of those roads in the Scottish Borders detailed in Schedule III below. The temporary speed restrictions will only be in effect when appropriate signage is in place on the affected lengths of road. The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads -Spaces for People) (Temporary Speed Restriction) No 2 Order 2020 made on 28 September 2020 will be amended as follows: the temporary 20mph speed restriction on the lengths of those roads detailed at Schedule IV below will be revoked with effect from 00:01 on 21 March 2022.
