Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 City Of Bradford Metropolitan District Council Market Street, Bradford Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of telecommunication works proposed to be executed on or near Market Street, Bradford intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Market Street from its junction with Bridge Street to the outside of No. 71 Market Street. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available as follows: -
Bridge Street bound traffic via - Market Street (unaffected section), Bank Street, Broadway, Bridge Street and vice versa.

Lower Kirkgate bound traffic via - Bridge Street, Hall Ings, Leeds Road, Shipley Airedale Road, Barkerend Road, Church Bank, Lower Kirkgate, Market Street and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 28th March 2022 and remain in force until 18:00 hours on the 30th March 2022 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary). DATED this 17th day of March 2022.
