B280 West Street, Epsom Temporary Traffic Management Order 2022
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: -
a) Prohibit vehicles that are travelling eastwards on B280 West Street, Epsom from turning right into A24 South Street and
b) Prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding in that length of A24 South Street, Epsom that extends from its junction with A24 Ashley Avenue to its junction with B280 West Street, other than in a northerly direction. This Traffic Order is required to enable Morrison Utility Serves/Agility Alliance to carry out water mains connection and/or maintenance works on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 11 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 April 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibitions which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be via the signed vehicular diversion route: - Epsom High Street, Ashley Road and Ashley Avenue.


Various Roads in the Borough of Epsom and Ewell Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2022
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:
a) D2420 Vale Road, Worcester Park that extends from its junction with D2229 Inveresk Gardens, to its junction with D2036 Newbury Gardens. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via D2229 Inveresk Gardens, D2013 Ardrossan Gardens, D2013 Stoneleigh Park Road and D2036 Newbury Gardens.
b) D2170 Gadesden Road, West Ewell that extends from its junction with D2374 Scotts Farm Road, to its junction with D2422 Vernon Close.
c) B2200 Chessington Road, Ewell that extends from its junction with B2200 Spring Street, to its junction with D2393 Station Avenue. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via: - From east of the closure - B2200 Chessington Road, B2200 London Road, A240 Ewell By-Pass, A240 Kingston Road, B284 Ruxley Lane, B284 Chessington Road and B2200 Chessington Road. From west of the closure - B2200 Chessington Road, B284 Chessington Road, B284 Ruxley Lane, A240 Kingston Road, B240 Ewell By Pass, B2200 London Road, B2200 High Street and B2200 Spring Street.
d) The southbound carriageway to A24 London Road, Stoneleigh that extends from its junction with Sparrow Farm Road at the boundary of Surrey County Council with The London Borough of Sutton, to a point 50m south of its junction with D2047 Briarwood Road. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via A24 London Road, A2043 Malden Road, A2042 The Broadway, A232 Ewell Road, A232 Cheam Road, A24 Ewell By-Pass and A24 London Road.
e) (i) B2200 London Road and High Street, Ewell that extends from the northern side of the traffic lights at the junction with Kingston Road, to the southern side of the traffic lights at the junction with B2200 Spring Street (ii) B2200 Spring Street, Ewell that extends from its junction with B2200 London Road, for a distance of 50m. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via: - Northbound and southbound traffic - B2200 London Road, A24 Ewell By-Pass, B2200 Cheam Road and B2200 Ewell High Street. Westbound traffic from south of closure -B2200 Ewell High Street, B2200 Cheam Road, A24 Ewell By-Pass, A240 Ewell By-Pass, A240 Kingston Road, B284 Ruxley Lane, B284 Chessington Road, B2200 Chessington Road and B2200 Kingston Road. Westbound traffic from north of closure - B2200 London Road, A240 Ewell By-Pass, A240 Kingston Road, B284 Ruxley Lane, B284 Chessington Road, B2200 Chessington Road and B2200 Kingston Road.
f) D2251 Langley Vale Road, Epsom Downs that extends from its junction with D2202 Headley Road, to its junction with B290 Ashley Road. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via: - B290 Ashley Road, D2462 Worple Road, D2019 Avenue Road, D2202 Woodcote Road, D2202 Woodcote Green Road, D2202 Wilmerhatch Lane and D2202 Headley Road.


This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out highway maintenance and/or resurfacing, and/or improvement works in the lengths of road specified and described in parts a) to f) above, and to enable Cappagh/Thames Water to carry out utility works in the length of road specified and described in parts f) above. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 08 April 2022. For parts c), d) e) and f) it is anticipated that the temporary closures for works by Surrey County Council will be required between the hours of 8pm and 6am. For part f) it is anticipated that the temporary closure for works by Cappagh/Thames Water will be required between the hours of 8am and 8pm, for 4 days from 19/04/22. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians at all times. Access for residents and businesses on the affected lengths of road described in parts b) above will be maintained under direction of a marshal. Access for residents and businesses on the affected lengths of road described in parts a), c), d), e) and f) above, will be via the diversion routes described. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24- hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner.
