Various Locations, On-Street Cycle Hangers

ON-STREET CYCLE HANGARS - VARIOUS LOCATIONS (REF. KINGMAP0067)
The Kingston upon Thames (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*; and The Kingston upon Thames (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*.
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be to provide a secure bicycle parking facility (cycle hangar) at each of the following locations;
(a) Park Road, Kingston outside Nos. 43 to 48 Park Road House in place of part of an existing footway Permit holders only parking place
(b) Cranes Park Avenue, Surbiton outside No. 3, in place of part of an existing Shared use parking place
(c) Albert Road, Kingston adjacent to No. 4 Victoria Road in place of part of an existing shared use parking place
(d) Lower Ham Road, Kingston opposite No. 2 Waterman's Close in place of part of an existing shared use parking place.
(e) to modify the traffic order definitions of certain other parking places and waiting restrictions so they better reflect what is currently on the ground (there would be no change to the way restrictions and parking places currently operate).
Each cycle hangar (2.6 metres long) would store up to six bicycles. There would be an annual rental charge of £75.00 for storage space for one bicycle in the cycle hangar.
3. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders and plans showing the locations and the effects of the proposals may be inspected as follows:-
(a) online at https://www.kingston.gov.uk/tmos-open-statutory-consultation
(b) The Information and Advice Centre, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EU between 9am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive
(c) Council libraries; and
(d) copies of the made Order and plans can also be obtained by calling 020 8547 5000 (between 9am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays); or
(e) by emailing TMO@kingston.gov.uk) (please quote ref KingMap 0067).
4. Persons desiring to object to any of the proposals or make any other representations in respect of them, should send a statement in writing to that effect and, in the case of an objection, stating the grounds thereof to the Council in this matter to either The Director of Communities, Traffic Order Section, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey KT1 1EU or email TMO@kingston.gov.uk, quoting reference TMO - KingMap0067 by 7th April 2022
