The Isle of Wight Council's Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders


Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: 
The Isle of Wight Council (Bedbury Lane, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Monday 28 March 2022 until 1830 hours on Wednesday 20 April 2022, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Bedbury Lane, between its junctions with Victoria Road and access to Farringford Lodge. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 28 March 2022 until 1600 hours on Thursday 31 March 2022, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along High Street, Carisbrooke, between its junctions with Priory Road and School Lane. The Isle of Wight Council (The Quay, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Monday 28 March 2022 until 1830 hours on Friday 1 April 2022, or when the works has been completed, the one-way restriction will be revoked, for its entire length. The revocation is required to allow access to premises and businesses during the utility works on Quay Street.

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Wednesday 30 March 2022 until 1600 hours on Monday 4 April 2022, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Wyatts Lane, between its junctions with Venner Avenue and Uplands Road. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0900 hours on Wednesday 30 March 2022 until 0600 hours on Saturday 2 April 2022 and from 2100 hours on Sunday 3 April 2022 until 1600 hours on Tuesday 5 April 2022, will temporarily close the following roads to through traffic, including all vehicles, equestrians and pedestrians, a) Culver Parade, between its junction with Crescent Road and its junction with Yaverland Road; b) Yaverland Road, between its junction with Culver Parade and its junction with Yaverland Car Park Entrance / exit; c) Fort Street, between its junctions with Crescent Road and its junction with Culver Parade and d) Kennedy Way, for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closures are required for setting up and taking down of required safety equipment and all other equipment for the Sandown Sprint Event. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times during the closure. Pedestrian access to properties on or adjacent to the road will be permitted at safe intervals and will be escorted by marshals on site. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated via advanced warning signs.
The Isle of Wight Council (Culver Parade, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary No Waiting at Any Time Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0800 hours on Wednesday 30 March 2022 until 1700 hours on Tuesday 5 April 2022, a no waiting at any time parking restriction will be introduced along Culver Parade, Sandown, on the south-east side, between its junction with Crescent Road and a point 95 metres north-east of its junction with Fort Street. The restriction is required to ensure there are no parked vehicles during the Sandown Sprint Event. Exact dates, durations will be communicated via advanced warning signs.

The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during footbridge repairs.
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0930 hours and 1600 hours on approximately five to ten days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 25 March 2022 and Friday 06 May 2022. Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0600 hours on the 2 April 2022 until 2100 hours on the 3 April 2022), will temporarily close the following roads to through traffic, including all vehicles, equestrians and pedestrians a) Culver Parade, between its junction with Crescent Road and its junction with Yaverland Road; b) Yaverland Road, between its junction with Culver Parade and its junction with Yaverland Car Park Entrance / exit; c) Fort Street, between Its junction with Crescent Road and its junction with Culver Parade and d) Kennedy Way, for its entire length. Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 18 March 2022 and Friday 29 April 2022 the following roads will be closed for both day and night for a period of approximately six weeks, or when the works have been completed, to enable the next planned programme of road reconstruction and upgrades to be completed. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences:
