(Burtreeford No. 2 Footbridge (Footpath No. 30 Stanhope Parish Lanehead Ward), Cowshill, Weardale) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2020

The above-named Order made by the Council on 12/3/20, under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and which became operational on 26/3/20 has been continued in force from 26/3/22, as approved by the Secretary of State for Transport, until 25/3/23 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the Order is to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 20 metres of Footpath Number 30 Stanhope Ward Lanehead parish, that crosses Burtreeford Number 2 footbridge, Cowshill by reason of likelihood of danger to the public and to enable repair/replacement works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the northern side of the closure from Low Alters via either Footpath Number 33 over Allers Bridge to A689 then south easterly onto Unclassified road 22.2 Copthill then southerly on Footpath Number 36 leading to Footpath Number 30 to the southern side of the closure, and vice versa, or via the rights of way network to the west of the closure.
