(A691 Framwellgate Peth to A690 Leazes Road (Milburngate Bridge), Durham City) (Temporary Footway Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 11/3/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 192 metres of footway on the northern side of the A691 Framwellgate Peth and A690 Leazes Road (Milburngate Bridge), Durham City that extends eastwards from the traffic light crossing on Framwellgate Peth to Claypath slip road, Durham to enable new development works to be undertaken. Alternative route for all footway users will be available from the western side of closure via the pedestrian crossing areas on A691 Framwellgate, A690 and Milburngate, and then in an easterly direction across Milburngate Bridge to Claypath and the eastern side of closure and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 19/3/22 and are anticipated to be completed in 6 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Dated: 17th March 2022
