(Blackhill And Shotley Bridge) (Parking & Waiting Restrictions) (Consolidation No. 1) Order 2015

The Council on 11 March 2022 made an Order under Sections 1,2,4,32 and 35 and part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 "the Act"), as amended, the effect of which comes into operation on 24 March 2022 and is to Introduce a No Waiting At Any Time restriction on:- a. The junction of Wood Street and Swordsmiths Lane extending 6 metres in a southerly direction and 24 metres in a northerly direction on Wood Street on the western side of the carriageway. The restrictions are proposed to extend into Swordsmiths Lane for 6 metres b. The junction of Woodlands Road and Queens Road in a northeasterly direction on both sides of the carriageway for the full extent of Woodlands Road and around the junction of Woodlands Road and the road adjacent to Shotley Bridge Hospital for 10 metres in a westerly direction on the southern side of the carriageway, and 19 metres in an easterly direction on both sides of the carriageway c. The junction of St Andrews Gardens and A691 Durham Road, extending 11 metres in a westerly direction and 8 metres in easterly direction on A691 Durham Road. The restrictions are proposed to extend into St Andrews Gardens for 10 metres. Full details are contained in the Order, a copy of which may be inspected at County Hall, Durham Tue and Friday 9am-4pm; via the Council website and at Consett Library during normal opening hours. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by "the Act", as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks from 17 March 2022 apply to make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
