(C13 Broomside Lane, Belmont) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 11/3/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 215 metres of road C13 Broomside Lane that extends eastwards between the unclassified road 27.6 that leads to Durham City Retail Park and the access road leading to Belmont Court, Belmont to enable motorway bridge works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the eastern side of the closure from C13 northerly via Carrville High Street then south westerly on A690 to Gilesgate Roundabout then easterly on A181 and Sunderland Road to the western side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 18/3/22 from 8pm to 6am nightly and are anticipated to be completed in 10 nights. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
