(Rear Bessemer Street, Consett) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on IS metres of Rear of 2 Bessemer Street, Consett to enable water supply renewal works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the north side of the closure, travel westbound on St Aidan's Street, then southbound on Bessemer Street (Front) and then eastbound on Park Road, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 4/4/22 from 8am and are anticipated to be completed in 5 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
