(A131 Mount Hill and Oak Road, Halstead) (Restricted Road & 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 81, 82(2), 83(2), 84(1) and (2) and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To introduce a 40MPH speed limit on the following length of A131 Mount Hill and Oak Road, Halstead in the District of Braintree (the roads are currently national speed limit):
Road
Description
A131 Mount Hill, Halstead
From a point approximately 122 metres southwest of its junction with White Horse Avenue, south west for a
distance of approximately 440 metres.
Oak Road, Halstead
From its junction with A131 Mount Hill, in a south-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 10 metres to its junction with the existing 30MPH speed limit.
The Essex County Council (A131 Mount Hill, Halstead) (Restricted Roads) Order 1995' is hereby revoked, the restrictions contained within that order shall continue in force by virtue of this order
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 24 March 2022

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
(Hayhouse Road, Earls Colne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hayhouse Road, Earls Colne in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 110m north east of the junction with Curds Road for a distance of approximately 110m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th April 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01558236137 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while premise point installation works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Curds Road, Coggeshall Road, Church Hill and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 24th March 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(High Street Green/Prayors Hill, Sible Hedingham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Street Green/ Prayors Hill, Sible Hedingham in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 520m south east of the junction with Graves Hall Road for a distance of approximately 195m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th April 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01557745344 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while boundary box installation works are undertaken by Anglian Water An alternative route is available via Delvin End, Graves Hall Road, Crouch Green, Yeldham Road, Swan Street, Rectory Road, Prayors Hill and vice versa (with access only to High Street Green). The Order will come into effect on 24th March 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(The Street/Cross End, Pebmarsh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Street/Cross End, Pebmarsh in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 50m north east of the junction with Hill House Road for a distance of approximately 350m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th April 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC118HVWBLJK93F - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Openreach. An alternative route is available via Cross End, Cripple Corner, Twinstead Road, Oak Road, Clay Hills, The Street, Hill House Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 24th March 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Halstead Road, Colne Engaine) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Halstead Road, Colne Engaine in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 125m south east ot the junction with Goldingtons Farm Road for a distance of approximately 185m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th March 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03159766242/2 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water. An alternative route is available via Fenn Road, Colchester Road, Parley Beams, Stonebridge Hill, Halstead Road, Station Road, Elms Hall Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 10th March 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Halstead Road - Zc5002, Gosfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Halstead Road -Zc5002, Gosfield in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 500m north east of its junction with Highlands for a distance of approximately 110m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd April 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010652171/2 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water An alternative route is available via The Street, Braintree Road, Gosfield Road, Halstead Road, Pennypot Corner, Bournebridge Hill, Mount Hill and vice versa.

(Newhouse Road, Earls Colne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Newhouse Road, Earls Colne in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 710m south west of the junction with Curds Road for a distance of approximately 295m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th March 2022 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03159866831 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fire hydrant replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water No diversion is available for this closure. The Order came into effect on 10th March 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
