Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.


Church Ln, Grappenhall (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2022

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway on Church Ln from its jct. with Broad Ln to its jct. with Glebe Ave. The Order will be effective from 4th April 2022 for 2 weeks when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Church Ln, A56 Chester Rd, A50 Knutsford Rd, Bellhouse Ln & vice versa or via Broad Ln, Grappenhall Ln, A50 Cliff Ln, A50 Knutsford Rd, Bellhouse Ln & vice versa. The restrictions are required to allow continuing works to Heritage Area reconstructing & relaying cobbled road surface, including work to improve drainage. Ref: High/2303

Cromwell Ave (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2021
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway on Cromwell Ave from its jct. with Sankey Way to its jct. with Westbrook Cres. The Order will be effective from 4th April 2022 for 8 weeks, between 9:30am & 3:30pm, when signed on site. The works will only take 3/4 days in total to complete, however they are weather dependent. The alternative route will be via Sankey Way, Whittle Ave, Westbrook Way & vice versa. The closure is required for carriageway surface dressing. Ref: High/2309

Horrocks Ln (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2022

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Horrocks Ln from its jct. with Buttermarket St to its jct. with the service road at the rear of the Time Square. The Order will be effective from 29th March 2022 for 1 week, when signed on site. The alternative route will be signed on site. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to install a new service. Ref: High/2307

Northwich Rd, Stretton (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2022
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Northwich Rd from its jct. with Common Ln to its jct. with Stockley Ln. The Order will be effective from 9pm on 4th April 2022 until 6am on 5th April 2022, when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Warrington Rd, Marston Ln, Hall Ln, Manchester Rd, Chester Rd, Chester Way, Warrington Ln, Winnington Ln, Runcorn Rd, Tarporley Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow British Telecom to carry out carriageway resurfacing works. Ref: High/2308

A5060 Chester Rd & Gainsborough Rd (Various Restrictions) Temporary Order 2022

The effect of which is as follows: Prohibition of Driving: A5060 Chester Rd from its jct. with A56 Walton New Rd to its jct. with A49 Wilderspool Cswy (between 7pm & 6am); Gainsborough Rd from its jct. with Chester Rd to its jct. with Silverdale Rd; Prohibition of Right Turn: A5060 Chester Rd - To prohibit any vehicle proceeding on A5060 Chester Rd from making a right hand turn into Gainsborough Rd; Gainsborough Rd - To prohibit any vehicle proceeding on Gainsborough Rd from making a right hand turn into Chester Rd; Footway Closure: A5060 Chester Rd (eastern footway) from Gainsborough Rd for a distance of 80m north (to its jct. with the petrol station); A5060 Chester Rd (western footway) from 55m south of Gainsborough Rd to its jct. with A49 Wilderspool Cswy. The Order will be effective from 21st March 2022 for 1 month. The works will be carried out in phases to minimise disruption. The majority of the works will be undertaken off peak or overnight, as & when signed on site. Wilson Patten St from its jct. with A5061 Parker St to its jct. with A5061 Bridgefoot; A5061 Bridgefoot from its jct. with A5061 Wilson Patten St to its jct. with Bridgefoot roundabout; Footway Closure - 24 Hours: A5061 Wilson Patten St from its jct. with Bold St to its jct. with Museum St; Temporary Suspension of Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions Act) 1976 - Revocation & Appointment of Stand for Hackney Carriages (Notice dated 18th June 2020) - Stand located on Wilson Patten St, South Side, from a point 60m west of its jct. with Slutchers Ln to its jct. with Factory Ln - 24 Hours - 9 spaces. The Order will be effective from 21st March 2022 for 1 month. The works will be carried out in phases to minimise disruption. The majority of the works will be undertaken off peak or overnight, as & when signed on site. The alternative route will be via A5061 Liverpool Rd, A5061 Sankey Way, Sankey Way Roundabout (jct. with Priestley St), A57 Priestley St, A57 Froghall Ln, A57 Midland Way, Cockhedge Green Roundabout, A49 Brick St, A49 Fennel St, A49 Mersey St & vice versa. The restrictions are required for remedial works associated with the Centre Park Link scheme including footway works & carriageway resurfacing. Ref: High/2306

Brock Rd (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2022
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Brock Rd from its jct. with Benson Rd to a point approx. 100m north of the jct. with Benson Rd. The Order will be effective from 4th April 2022 for 3 days, between 9:30am & 2:30pm, Monday to Wednesday, when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Admirals Rd, Ordnance Ave, Dewhurst Rd, Benson Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to facilitate resurfacing of the junction bellmouth of Brock Rd to Benson Rd. Marsh House Ln (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2022
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Marsh House Ln from its jct. with Godfrey St to its jct. with Hume St. The Order will be effective from 22nd March 2022 for 4 weeks, between 11pm & 7am, when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Battersby Ln, Manchester Rd, Padgate Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Network Rail to carry out remedial works to the bridge structure. Ordnance Ave (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2022
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Ordnance Ave to a point approx. 380m west & 270m east of its jct. with Redshank Ln. The Order will be effective from 11th April 2022 for 2 weeks, between 9:30am & 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Admirals Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to facilitate highway improvement works. Ref: High/2290

Slutchers Ln (Prohibition of Driving & Footway Closure) Temporary Order 2022
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving & footway closure on Slutchers Ln for its entire length. The Order will be effective from 21st March 2022 for 1 month. The works will be carried out in phases as follows: Prohibition of Driving between 7pm to 6am & Footway Closure - 24 hours. To minimise disruption the majority of the works will be undertaken off peak or overnight as & when signed on site. The alternative routes
are: Slutchers Ln via A5061 Wilson Patten St, Bridgefoot, A49 Wilderspool Cswy, A5060
Chester Rd & vice versa; Wilson Patten St westbound approach via A5061 Parker St, A5061 Liverpool Rd, A5061 Sankey Way, Sankey Way Roundabout (jct. with Priestley St), A57 Priestley St, A57 Froghall Ln, A57 Midland Way, Cockhedge Green Roundabout, A49 Brick St, A49 Fennel St, A49 Mersey St, A49 Wilderspool Cswy & A5060 Chester Rd; Chester Rd southbound approach via A5060 Chester Rd, A56 Walton New Rd, A56 Walton Rd, A49 London Rd, A49 Wilderspool Cswy, Bridgefoot & Wilson Patten St.
The restrictions are required for remedial works associated with the Centre Park Link scheme including footway works & carriageway resurfacing. Ref: High/2304

Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
