ROAD TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS (AMENDMENT NO.2) ORDER 2022
Notice is hereby given that Darlington Borough Council proposes to make the above named Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 49, 53 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of the Traffic Management Act 2004. The following restrictions are being proposed to be introduced which will replace any restrictions currently in place on those lengths of road:
1. No waiting and no loading at any time in the following roads:
Backhouse Street - the east side of its northern carriageway, from a point 4.5 metres south of its junction with Victoria Road North back of the southern carriageway to its junction with Victoria Road
2. The current no waiting/no loading/unloading restriction in Sunningdale Green will be amended to the same restriction Mon-Fri 8.30am-9.15am and 2.45pm-3.45pm in the following part:
both sides, from its junction with Chantilly Avenue northwards, eastwards and southwards to include the turning head for a distance of 95 metres
3. There shall be 'no waiting' restrictions added in parts of the following roads:
Barlow Street, Barrington Way, Beadnell Close, Blackwell Lane, Chantilly Avenue, Church View, Craig Street, Davison Road, ?eneside Road, Edinburgh Drive, Friars Pardon, Geneva Road, Glebe Road, Harewood Hill, Harris Street, Haughton Road, Heathfield Park, Hill House Lane, Hutton Avenue, Latimer Road, Longfield Road, Morton Park Way, Morton Road, Neasham Road, Nightingale Avenue, Orchard Road, Pierremont Crescent, Roundhill Road Hurworth, Salters Avenue, Salters Lane North, Salters Lane South, Salutation Road, South View, Springwell Terrace, Station Road Middleton St George, The Front Middleton St George, Thomas Sopwith Way, Tower Road, Trinity Road, Vine Street, Waddington Drive, Winchester Way, Woodland Road and Woodlands Green Middleton St George
4. There shall be no waiting Mon-Sat 9am-5pm in the following length of road:
Sparrow Hall Drive - the north side, from a point 49 metres west of its junction with Whinbush Way to a point 12 metres west of its junction with Killin Road
5. The following length of road shall be designated as loading bays at all times:
Blackwellgate - the north side, from a point 3 metres west of the western boundary 39 Blackwellgate westwards for a distance of 15 metres
6. The following length of road shall be designated as limited waiting for 2 hours (with no return within an hour) 9am-5pm Mon-Sat: Tower Road - the west side, from a point 5 metres south of its junction with Orchard Road southwards for a distance of 12 metres
7. There shall be a 20mph speed limit in parts of the following roads: Newton Lane, Roundhill Road Hurworth and Whitby Way
8. There shall be a 30mph speed limit in the following roads in Great Stainton: Back Lane and Glebe Road
