ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 (1)
Temporary Banned Turn Castelnau, Barnes
(Reference 22/055)
1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate investigation and repair works to be undertaken to Hammersmith Bridge, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Castelnau, Barnes

2. Whilst the works take place, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in a north-easterly direction in Castelnau between the north-eastern kerb-line of Clavering Avenue and Hammersmith Bridge.

3. The order will come into effect on 7 March 2022. The restrictions will be in force at all times from 7 March 2022 until 7 January 2023, whilst signs/cones are in place. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. An alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Clavering Avenue and Riverview Gardens.

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Road Closure Church Road, Ham
(Reference 22/054)

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that they have made a temporary Order, the effect of which is to introduce a road closure in part of Church Road, Ham.

2. The length of Church Road affected by the order passes through an area where common toads are known to cross the carriageway during their annual migration from hibernation to breeding areas. The road closure is intended to allow the toads to cross the carriageway unharmed and to eliminate the risk of accidents if drivers were to be distracted by the presence of these creatures in their path.

3. Whilst Church Road is closed, an alternative route for northbound traffic will be Church Road, Upper Ham Road and Ham Gate Avenue. An alternative route for southbound traffic will be as above but in the reverse direction.

The order will come into effect at 10am on 7 March 2022 and will remain in force until 3pm on 1 April 2022.
4. The prohibitions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply to:

(a) any vehicle requiring access to or from "Wilmer House', Church Road from or in the direction of Latchmere Lane and to or from the rear of Park Gate house from Church Road;

(b) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(c) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

Temporary Parking Restricitons Various Roads in the Borough
(Reference 22/060)

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water pipe replacement works they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in various streets.

2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle wait or stand in the roads detailed in the schedule, between the dates indicated. The restrictions will operate on a rolling basis.

3. The order will come into effect on 7 March 2022. The restrictions will be in force at all times from 7 March 2022 until 21 July 2022. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as Indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
