THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (A595 MUNCASTER) (TEMPORARY 10 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria Highways to carry out carriageway resurfacing works ("the Works), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding at speeds in excess of 10 miles per hour along that section of the A595 Muncaster, from a point approx. 370m south of its junction with the U4279, extending in an overall southerly direction for approx. I km.
N.B. The 10 miles per hour speed restriction will operate where contractor's operatives and plant are working on site. It will be operated on a convoy system with a lead vehicle controlling traffic speed to protect the workforce. No speed limit imposed by this Order will apply to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
