Porters Road, Temporary Closure

Temporary Closure of Porters Road Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Porters Road - from the junction with Mill Lane, southwards for a total distance of 369 metres. This Order will enable Rural Optic Infrastructure Limited on behalf of BT to carry out cabling, splicing and potential civils on BT poles. The Order becomes effective on 1st March 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 11th March 2022 and last until 16th March 2022 between the hours of 08:00 - 17:00 for a total of 4 days (excluding the weekend). Please visit
