STANDARDS COMMITTEE

NOTICE OF DECISION

On the ist February 2022 the Standards Committee considered a recommendation from the Appeal Tribunal of the Adjudication Panel for Wales that Community Councillor Gareth Baines (Chirk Town Council] be suspended for a period of 2 months.Having considered the relevant papers the Standards Committee decided to confirm the original penalty of 3 months suspension.

Accordingly, the Committee suspended Councillor Baines from being a member of Chirk Town Council for 3 months with effect from 2nd February 2022.The papers considered by the Standards Committee are available at
