TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - RUTLAND ROAD, HOVE (THE PORTLAND ROAD IMPROVEMENT SCHEME)
1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 23rd February 2022 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:-
a) The temporary closure of Rutland Road at its junction with Portland Road for a distance of approximately 10 metres.
b) This temporary closure is in conjunction with section 1. (e) of the The Brighton & Hove (Coleman Avenue, Portland Avenue, Grange Road, School Road & Rutland Gardens) (The Portland Road Improvement Scheme) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2021, as it relates to Phase 5 of The Portland Road Improvement Scheme and the temporary closure of Rutland Gardens at its junction with Portland Road for a distance of approximately 10 metres
2. The Order is necessary to allow for the Portland Road Improvement Scheme take place.
3. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a local diversion for vehicular traffic will be signed.
4. This Order comes into force on 28th February 2022 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 17th March 2022.
