ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - DITCHLING ROAD, BRIGHTON
1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 23rd February 2022 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:-

a) The Introduction of a temporary 40 mph speed limit on Ditchling Road, Brighton, to traffic in both directions, from the existing 40 mph speed limit boundary, approximately 50 metres north of the junction with Woodbourne Avenue, northwards to its junction with Coldean Lane.

b) The temporary closure of the public shared space for pedestrians and cycles that is situated along the western verge of Ditchling Road, from its southern end at the junction with Woodbourne Avenue to its northern end approximately 50 metres south of the bridge over the A27.

2. The Order is necessary to allow Ditching Road Off-Road Path Surface Upgrade to take place.

3. This Order comes into force on 28th February 2022 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed which is anticipated to be 29th July 2022.
