ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14

THE A1(M) MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 64) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A1(M) Motorway, in Gateshead and Sunderland, to enable safety fence repairs works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start on Wednesday 23 March 2022 for 2 nights, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am. The effect of the Order will be to close the A1(M) northbound exit and entry slip roads at Junction 64 (Washington); during which times suitably signed alternative routes will be available. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes).
