(Sidegate, Durham City) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 18/2/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 65 metres of Sidegate that extends westerly from number 9 Sidegate, Durham City to enable gas main renewal works to be undertaken. Alternative route will not be available to vehicular traffic but road plates will be available should access be required during the day and on site overnight. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 3/3/22 from 7am and are anticipated to be completed in 4 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
